Sac Osage Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit, member-owned, electric utility. This means you, not a group of private investors, benefit from any margins produced by the Cooperative.

Capital Credits are the revenue or margins that are left over after all bills associated with doing business have been paid. The amount of money members receive is based on how much electricity they purchased during the year or years that are being paid out.

In 2023, Sac Osage retired capital credits for the years 2002, 2003, and 2005. The authorised amount of general and deceased capital credit distributions was $1,200,000.

After you disconnect your service with Sac Osage Electric Cooperative, you will need to notify us of any address changes to continue to receive your Capital Credits.

Some of these Capital Credits get returned unclaimed to the Cooperative. See the full list here.
